SMC x Massif EV

Overview:

Massif EV is an e-bike company that leverages technology and innovation to promote sustainable transportation and an enjoyment of the outdoors. Offering Utility, All-Terrain, and Hybrid e-bike models, Massif EV provides a heightened level of convenience to traditional biking methods. This project was conducted by consultants Hai Lin Do, Shiraz Sigouin, and Dylan Zheng, with the leadership of directors Rishi Goel, Matthew Tran, Ishaan Agnihotri, and Talia Wright.

Problem:

Massif EV approached SMC to develop the structure of what a brand partnership would look like with a large national retailer, as well as create the deliverable and accompanying materials for the aforementioned brand partnership pitch. While Massif EV had made considerable progress in building a defined brand image and mission, they were seeking a more structured approach to pitching this vision. They wanted their pitch deck to be backed up with extensive research and data to ensure that their presentation to retailers was aligned with best-in-class, successful strategies. Additionally, Massif EV desired the team’s feedback and updates on their previously created pitch decks based on SMC’s brand and design expertise.

Solution:

The team provided Massif EV with an actionable plan and strategy to pitch the brand’s e-bikes to the retailer. The first component of this engagement was a report analyzing the EV market for e-bikes. This helped provide Massif EV with insights into trends that could impact their business and allow them to position their brand to appeal to the retailer. After that, the team worked diligently on the main aspect of the project, which was updating and enhancing Massif EV’s pitch deck for prospective partners. They also developed marketing initiatives and slides demonstrating how the partnership would work and succeed. Along with the deck, a “best practices for pitching” guide was created for the client on how to effectively deliver the presentation and ensure future success when pitching partnership opportunities.

Impact:

The team's work was presented to Massif EV's CEO. The results provided the client a better understanding of the e-bike market and the perspectives of our team as the next generation of consumers. The team worked thoroughly to consolidate research and use their views to filter the most important information that Massif EV needed to consider in its brand strategy. Additionally, they revamped Massif EV’s pitch deck, which will help with future pitches as the structure has been tailored to deliver impactful information and insights to prospective partners.
