Veronica is completing her third year of Commerce at Queen's University and is a project director with Smith Marketing Consulting.
This past. summer, Veronica worked as a Support Advisor with Shopify, a Canadian, multinational eCommerce company. This role required her to clearly deliver strategic insights to businesses on the platform and communicate how these businesses can increase their SEO through the use of various sales channels. She utilized interpersonal skills to achieve business growth for those selling on the Shopify platform. Through analytical problem-solving, strong communication skills, and emotional intelligence, Veronica supported businesses to excel at their e-commerce efforts.
At Queen’s, Veronica led the events team for the Queen’s Mental Health Association, where they achieved their first-ever summit in March of 2020, with a goal to educate students on the factors and impact of mental health. Through her time as a director of outreach at the not for profit Q.Clean, she raised awareness of the club’s efforts to generate donations for their partner charity Dress for Success. She worked to increase sales both within and outside of the Commerce program.
Aside from her school and work commitments, Veronica enjoys running, summers at the cottage, and educational podcasts.
